Seaside Adventure (2½ hour tour)

You'll share the adventure and the rich history as you travel along the coastline of Nova Scotia. Explore lighthouses, quaint fishing villages, ancient churches, lobster pounds, fishing piers, 19th century homes, and a unique rock beach. There are outstanding photo opportunities along Nova Scotia's stunning coastline - and a natural, relaxing atmosphere. Seaside Adventure tour guides are local residents who will share with you a wealth of pertinent facts and information about Nova Scotians’ coastal homes, current issues i.e. health care, education, industries, history, and lifestyles. Bring your family and join us and we will make your visit last a lifetime.

With five stops on tour:

  • Stop at "Cape Forchu" lighthouse (View two lighthouses on your tour.) and explore inside original light keepers house, where lunch is served. (meal not included)
  • Browse the two gift shops or sit on a bench and eat your lunch as you gaze at the Atlantic Ocean.
  • Stop at Saint Ambrose Cathedral built in 1889,with 40 ft. stain glass windows, walk inside and hear the unique history.
  • Stop at Stanley's live lobster pound, see thousands of pounds of live lobsters and view the enormous 12 lb. lobster. (ask your guide about purchasing a cooked N.S. lobster)
  • At Stanley's Lobster, the owner will show you how to band and measure lobsters, and to hold in captivity up to 120,000 lbs.
  • Walk the pier, tour working lobster vessel, learn about the modern lobster fishery.
  • Hear why the area has evolved into the lobster capital of Canada today.
  • Stop at a beautiful rock beach and listen to ancient shipwreck stories.
  • Tour the modern town of Yarmouth and the old seafaring district with ancient homes from the past, with many architectural designs from around the world.
  • Your guide will greet you at the terminal and return you there for your departure. There will be refreshments on tour.
