2008 marks our tenth anniversary of service between Maine and Nova Scotia. For this, we have a decade of thanks for the hundreds of thousands of passengers who have traveled on board The CAT – still the largest, fastest international automobile ferry in North America. It has been an exciting ten years, and our company and crew have enjoyed serving passengers from all over the world. Many have mentioned that they recently learned about The CAT on the Discovery Channel, where she was featured on a program titled "Superships" – an apt reference to our wonderful vessel. Still more say they have been looking forward to their trip on The CAT for years. However you first heard of us, we certainly hope that we will have the honor of welcoming you aboard during this, our tenth anniversary year.
The CAT connects two of the most scenic and enjoyable places in the world – Maine and Nova Scotia. Time and again, these places have been noted in travel magazines and guide books for offering everything that one could want in a unique and memorable vacation: rugged, beautiful coastal vistas, welcoming people, charming towns and villages to explore, exciting cities to enjoy, and a wealth of historic and cultural discoveries to experience. Best of all, Maine and Nova Scotia are the perfect mix of "Lots to see and do" while still being quiet, peaceful and un-crowded. Come, and see why for more than a century, people have been escaping the hot, busy cities to enjoy the pleasant sea breezes and sunny skies of Maine and Nova Scotia.
Depending on which day you wish to travel, The CAT serves the Maine ports of Bar Harbor and Portland. Yarmouth, Nova Scotia is The CAT’s exclusive Canadian port of call. And if your travel plans include New Brunswick or Prince Edward Island, we invite you to drive aboard one of our other vessels. The Princess of Acadia connects Saint John, New Brunswick and Digby, Nova Scotia, while our Confederation and Holiday Island connects Wood Islands, PEI and Caribou, Nova Scotia. Information, including schedules and fares, can be found on online at catferry.com or nfl-bay.com. You may also book online, or call us at 1-888-249-SAIL (7245).
